What's In A Name?

Uchiwa is a play on words as it can be 'fan' ( 団扇) but uchi (家) can mean house and our , written as ha (は) but pronounced wa. Therefore, Uchiwa Ramen can be “fan ramen” ( 団扇ラメン) Or "our house is ramen" (家はラメン) Finally, “uchi” used in the term “uchi-soto” refers to an “insider-outsider” relationship. In Japan, this term expresses the deep desire of the insider to help the outsider feel welcome, usually referring to going to any and all extremes to be hospitable to a guest.

Uchiwa Ramen is an excellent ran restaurant! The Staff and Chefs are incredibly nice and welcoming! The food is tremendous packed with lots of flavor without being over powering! I highly recommend this place! When I visit again I will be back!
